Through means of geotagging and social media, anyone with a smartphone can effortlessly map their life in great detail - through the places we live, work, study and socialise. What is essentially raw data can be transformed into what many consider a powerful surveillance tool. This installation piece incorporates, and requires, the audience to engage in such technology first hand on their own devices. Mapping my own life in Edinburgh from 2011, by means of my own personal typogolical series of every chips and cheese I’ve ever eaten photographed on my iPhone, the capabilities of this increasingly more powerful tool are evident, both through software and on the physical level.
